Change font size and color - a terrific free tool for bloggers!

B is for blogging
Someone asked me yesterday in a comment on a blog I wrote how I changed the size and color of the fonts.  There are several ways to do this.  But I really only know one way - and I learned about it a few months ago on Active Rain. Isn't AR great!! (Thanks to Candis Hidalgo.)

Classifiedflyerads.com has a good blog enhancer that allows changes to the font size and color.  Here is a link to their enhancer   http://www.classifiedflyerads.com/active-rain-blog-post-enhancer.php  You'll be able to see how easy it is to change the fonts here.

Once you have completed a draft of your blog on this enhancer, click the source button in the top left corner and click control A to select the entire blog and control C to copy this HTML code.  Now open up your AR blog.  Be sure to select the HTML tab.  Then paste the HTML code/blog from the enhancer right into Active Rain.

With this blog enhancer photos must have URL addresses.  Because of that it is easiest to add your photos or clip art through Active Rain instead of the blog enhancer.

Vicky thanks for the tips. Lately I have noticed, depending on whether or not I am using Vista and my new laptop or my computer for work, that the font changes even if I compose in word, spellcheck, and then copy and paste into activerain. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Sonya   Since I wrote this post, I have experienced some difficulties with font changes coming over into the AR posts from ClassifiedFlyerAds.  So I have jumped ship.  I did some research on AR and  found an alternative - NVu.  Here is the link to the post.  I'm very pleased with the results and with how easy it is to use. Good luck.

Hi Viki....thanks for sharing but I try clicking on the link and it said that this was no long available!

Do you know of another way?

Posted by Aida Pinto Real Estate Broker/Notary Public (Pinto Realty) 9 months ago

Aida,  I'm sorry that the link doesn't work anymore.  Even if the link worked, with the changes to AR, this way of changing fonts doesn't work well anymore.  I have switched to a free program - called NVu.  http://net2.com/nvu/   To learn more about this program and how to do fancy stuff with your fonts for blogs, go to the link in my comment just above your comment. That is the best post on how to use NVu and what it can do.  Good luck.
